ESCD travel grants
The ESCD offers up to 6 travel grants to juniors and trainees for €750 to attend the Congress of the society. If you plan to apply for one of these grants, then please wait until your abstract has been accepted and then promptly forward this confirmation, a brief cv and copy of your submitted abstract to the secretary (deadline to be confirmed).
All applications will be judged by the Executive Committee and will be informed of the decision before the Congress begins. The grants will be handed out at the Awards Ceremony on the last day of the Congress.
Travel grants for participants conducting research in Sub-Saharan Africa
The Congress offers up to 10 travel grants of €2,000 to support participants undertaking research in Sub-Saharan Africa. The travel grants are founded by the LEO Foundation. In addition, the registration fee and the Congress Dinner will be covered by the Congress. Recipients will also be invited to a dinner held in connection with the pre-symposium.
If you plan to apply for one of these grants, please submit an abstract in one of the abstract categories and indicate on your submission that you wish to be considered for a travel grant. All applications will be assessed by the Scientific Committee, and applicants will be informed of the decision during February 2026.
