Abstract submission
Abstract submission has not opened yet, but you can find information below about the process and requirements.
General conditions
1. An abstract is required for all oral and poster presentations.
2. Abstracts must be submitted before the deadline (to be announced).
3. All abstracts must be written and submitted in English.
4. Accepted abstracts will be included in both the abstract book and the conference app. By submitting, you allow ESCD 2026 to publish your abstract.
5. If you wish to withdraw your abstract, a written request is required and must be confirmed by the ESCD 2026 Congress Organiser.
Presenting author and registration
1. The presenting author is required to register as an active participant no later than 14 days after receiving confirmation of abstract acceptance.
2. ESCD 2026 reserves the right to remove any abstract from the scientific programme if the presenting author has not completed their registration within 14 days of acceptance notification.
Contents of your abstract
1. Abstracts must not exceed 250 words in total.
2. Keep the title short but clear enough to show what the study is about.
3. Do not include author names in the title or the abstract text. A blind review process will be used. You will be asked to enter the names of the authors and their institutions separately during the online submission process.
4. Please organise your abstract using the following structure:
– Purpose: What is the aim of the study?
– Methods: How was the study carried out or how was data collected?
– Results: What were the main findings?
– Conclusions: What do the results mean and why are they important?
5. All abbreviations should be written out in full the first time they are used.
6. Please avoid general statements such as “results will be discussed” or “data will be presented.”
7. Do not include illustrations (such as tables, figures, or photographs), references, or acknowledgements of funding in the abstract.
8. Use generic names for any products or companies. If needed, a brand name may be included as a reference at the bottom of the abstract. Abstracts that mention brand or company names in the main text may be rejected. ESCD 2026 also reserves the right to replace brand names with generic names without prior notice.
Review process
1. The Scientific Committee will review all submitted abstracts.
2. A notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent by email to all presenting authors and submitters.
3. It is the responsibility of all researchers to ensure that their studies comply with national laws, international regulations, and ethical guidelines for medical research involving humans and/or animals. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to reject any abstract that does not follow these principles.
4. Please make sure that the email address provided for both the submitter and the presenting author is correct, as it will be used for all communication following the review process.
